The Knowledge Management (KM) Audit Orientation Workshop for LGRC Program Managers was held as part of the Strengthening Local Governance Resource Centers in the Philippines with the support of the European Union. To identify valid interventions to strengthen the LGRCs, baseline information on how KM is integrated in the organization is important. Composing this baseline information are results of the LGRC Assessment and the KM Audit. Operating on the premise that determining the correct problems will yield correct solutions, the KM Audit will be conducted to all the regions.

Our partner, the Local Governance Support Program for Local Economic Development (LGSP-LED) is seeking applications for Curriculum Development Consultants for the development of a LED Curriculum for the local government units (LGUs). The Terms of Reference (TOR) detailing the background, scope of work, roles and responsibilities and qualifications is provided.

The LGA is currently finalizing the design and further plans for the LGA Coffee Table Book and the LGA Museum. A dialogue concerning this was held last July 30, 2010 at the Commitment Room. This was atttended by the Division Chiefs and Assistant Division Chiefs.

The country's provincial governors are expected to craft their First 100 Days Agenda for their respective provinces on June 24, 2010 during the start of the second phase of the Newly Elected Officials (NEO) Program being implemented by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Local Government Academy (LGA) at the Hotel Kimberly, Tagaytay City.

In pursuit of establisihing the outcomes of interventions, the LGA was engaged by the AusAID through the PAHRDF in a short term training last February-March 2010 on the establishment of a Results Based Monitoring & Evaluation (RBME) System for its Capacity Development (CapDev) programs. This brief engagement primarily resulted in the creation of a results based M&E for DILG's Capacity Building programs, and the creation of a RBME System for LGA's 2010 flagship program for newly elected officials- the NEO Prorgam.
