The PHILIPPINE NATIONAL RED CROSS (PNRC) is a voluntary humanitarian organization which was created in 1947 by Republic Act No. 95, as amended, to serve as an auxiliary arm of the government in providing relief, health and welfare to the most vulnerable people in need including victims of disaster and other emergencies.
The PNRC is one of the 176 member societies of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The PNRC has 83 chapters and five sub-chapters nationwide. The PNRC operates solely on public contribution for funds.
