M E S S A G E
Bridging the information gap empowers people and linking
the national government and the grassroots empowers the nation.
This is the very essence of the GABAY SA MAMAMAYAN AKSYON
CENTER (GMAC) as it endeavors to ensure adequacy and accessibility
of information about national government programs and services
to barangay residents.
This time, we take a more advanced step to realize this vision
of strengthening and improving the delivery of basic services
to our people. In this new information age, it is opportune
to make use of the information highway that would instantly
link people and government. Making the GMAC available on the
web would facilitate greater access and linkage to government
services at any given time and place.
I urge the barangay officials and residents to take advantage
of this technology and discover how people and government
can meet with just a click of the button. I also encourage
the barangays with functional GMAC to use this information
tool and make it accessible to your constituents.
I commend the officials and staff of the National Barangay
Operations Office and the Local Government Academy for their
effort in developing the virtual GMAC. Sa Diyos, sa tao…serbisyong
totoo!
