For more information on the schedules of our training programs please contact the Local Governance National Resource Center (LGNRC) at (049) 536-3346. All training programs will be conducted at the LGNRC Training Center, Los Banos, Laguna.

 


  • We are an attached agency and the training arm of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in the Philippines.
  • We are mandated to build and strengthen the capabilities of local government officials and department personnel through continuing education, training, and human resource development.
  • We are into research in various best practices and playing an active role in popularizing efforts for the promotion of good local governance.
  • We have existing alliances with donor agencies such as the World Bank, USAID, JICA, Japan Foundation, CIDA and businesses (Shell & San Miguel Corporation) on local governments projects focused on management, poverty alleviation, and environmental management.
  • We have hosted a number of government officials and governance experts in practitioners from Canada, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Pakistan who are interested in learning the Philippine local government system.
  • We are often visited by government officials, scholars, and students from countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Tuvalu, Australia, Canada, Sweden and other countries studying local government operations and management.
