The LGA is governed by the Board of Trustees (BOT) chaired by the Secretary of the DILG and four members appointed by the President. An Executive Director manages the operations of the organization.
There are three (3) operating divisions - Education and Training Division (ETD), Research and Policy Development Division (RPDD) and Administrative Division (Admin) and a special unit called Insitutional Partnership Unit (IPU).
