Program Offerings by Outcome Area

The LGA offers training programs for local governments that will empower and transform them from being a mere recipient of services to an active and dynamic partner of the national government in the implementation of development initiatives to improve the quality of life of the constituents. These programs range from basic orientation to specialization courses on governance and administration, social services, economic development and environmental management. Among the programs that we have conducted are the following:
 
Empowered & Accountable LGUs
Outcome I deals with Empowered & Accountable LGUs. Under this outcome LGUs and local government officials are provided the necessary tools for them to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. It also underlines the essence of LGUs in being accountable in business dealings with other offices and disclose them to the public.
 
Disaster Resilient LGUs
Outcome II enhances capacity of LGUs on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction. Programs on the Basic Orientation on CCA and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management are among the programs that are offered under this outcome. LGUs are taught to comply with government regulations on CCA/DRRM.
 
Competitive and Business Friendly LGUs
Programs offered under Outcome III were designed to give LGUs a competitive edge in the economy through different programs such as complying with standards under the Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS). Also programs on Local Economic Development (LED) are offered to LGUs to improve their economy.
 
Conflict Free & Safe Communities
Making communities free and safe is the main concern under Outcome IV. Programs offered under this are geared towards maintaining local peace and order , crisis management, anti-trafficking and violence against women and children.

 
Strengthened Internal Governance Capacity
Under Strengthening Internal Governance Capacity it includes programs that will improve human resource management, management information, communication systems development program towards good  local governance among others.
