COURSE DESCRIPTION/OBJECTIVE: 
  • To provide understanding of the philosophy and principle of radiation protection in nuclear medicine.
  • Familiarization of equipment, protocols and methodology used in nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Creating awareness on the radiation hazards, biological effects and risk of ionizing radiation in nuclear medicine.
  • To generate the  importance of the right working procedures in nuclear medicine.
  • To improve performance in the clinical aspects of nuclear medicine.
  • To enhance knowledge and skills in ways that can be immediately applied to the practice of nuclear medicine.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Nominated by their respective government
  • Nuclear medicine physician/technologist, medical doctors, pharmacists and nurses in government
  • Must have at least three (3) years working experience
  • Must not have pending administrative criminal case
  • Must hold a permanent appointment
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • In good health, both physically and mentally (pregnancy is a disqualifying condition)
  • Age limit: 45 years old and below

  • Economy class flights tickets (round trip)
  • Accommodation
  • Daily subsistence allowance for the duration of the course
