Tentative Acceptance:
Nominees who are tentatively accepted to attend foreign
scholarship programs, as determined by the TESDA-National Screening Committee (NSC), will be notified by TESDA-NCS in Taguig City for all applicants from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Nominees tentatively accepted are advised to prepare the
necessary requirements:
- TESDA-NSC and Embassy Requirements (to be given by TESDA-NCS)
- Authenticated Birth Certificate from the National Statistics
Office
- Scholarship Service Contract (This can be acquired at
the DILG Regional Office c/o LGA Coordinator. The local
chief executive is the grantor for grantees from the local
government units.)
Official Acceptance:
Nominees who are officially accepted to participate in
foreign scholarship programs will be informed by the DILG-CLGSC
National Secretariat thru their respective DILG Regional
Offices.
Upon receipt of information, accepted nominees are requested
to immediately coordinate with DILG-CLGSC Secretariat for
further instructions on the processing of other travel documents.
Acceptance Letter and Travel Authority will be issued by
the DILG-CLGSC national Secretariat. The duly accomplished
Scholarship Service Contract will be submitted to DILG-CLGSC
National Secretariat and DFA.
Accepted nominees are also required to complete
these requirements:
1. Official Passport which can be
secured from the Diplomatic and Official Passport section
(DOPS) of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) upon presentation
of the following documents:
- Travel Authority (original and extra copy)
- Letter of Acceptance from the embassy concerned
- Scholarship Service Contract
- Authenticated Birth Certificate
- Latest Service Record
- Certificate of No Pending Administrative Case
- Two passport size pictures (4 x 3 )
Note:
- If grantee is already a holder of an official (red)
passport, he/she shall submit it to the DFA for revalidation.
He/She shall bring along the Letter of Acceptance, Travel
Authority, and Scholarship Service Contract and Accomplished
Application Form for passport revalidation.
- If grantee is already a regular (brown) passport holder,
he/she shall apply for an official (red) passport and
submit documents mentioned.
While the application for passport is being processed by
DFA, the nominee shall contact the donor embassy for pre-departure
briefing.
2. The Travel Tax Exemption Certificate (TEC)
can be secured at the Philippine Tourism Authority of the
Department of Tourism.
The following are needed for the issuance of TEC:
- Copy of Travel Authority
- Copy of Letter of Acceptance and Note Verbale
- Official Passport
- Application Fee
3. The Visa can be obtained from embassy
concerned. The visa is not mandatory. This depends on the
country and duration of training.
The following are needed in securing visa:
- Valid Passport
- Original Copy of the note verbale from DFA released
together with the passport (for official passport holders)
- Two passport size pictures
- Two copies of visa application forms
4. The Airline Ticket can be claimed from
the respective airline offices, upon the advice of the embassy
and presentation of the following requirements:
- Valid passport with visa
- Original Travel Tax Exemption
