PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
This two (2) week training course will instill in trainees a more holistic view of the determinants of nutritional well being as seen through greater understanding of the ecology of food and nutrition; the linkages between health, food and nutrition security; and the role of biological and socio-culture forces in affecting people's access to the necessary foods, nutrients and public health care services needed for healthy growth and development. A crucial part of this process will be broadening the trainees' awareness of the many community-based approaches for sustainable food and nutrition security.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be nominated by their respective government who are actively involved in policy and designing food and nutrition intervention programs
- With at least two (2) years experience
- Be a university graduate in relevant field
- Must not have pending administrative criminal case
- Must hold a permanent appointment
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
- In good health, both physically and mentally (pregnancy is a disqualifying condition)
- Age limit: Below 50 years old of age
